'Artist' a philosophy

The artist (Collaborative Bollocks) believes in freedom for all to art and let it be. They want to you see the work and see the fun. Art comes from fun work together. Ideas bounce and fly faster with two. The artist takes great pride in their work and was willing to let me show some of the imagery curated and created. In the main, the group believe that we don't need to always labels everything in the world as art and discriminate all those that are not. It's sometimes fun to have these though. Personally I feel that they are laughing at  while simultaneously embracing all the silly cheesy theory.

We all created this group, mostly though it is a 2 show of me and Claire. It is serious and a great balance to the work I create at university which is constantly open and viewed for criticism. I take the collaboration as a major part of my life and something that needs to be talked about. It is what I consider to be the truer part of the fart. Even though Claire was not around for creating the work for the signal gallery show, i feel she was the creator as much as me. I feel a strange tension between both sides of the practice. .'I Don't Have Integrity' was born out of the frustration that we have with the hilarity of the art world. Full of personal references and figures we talk about. Fine artists are self indulgent. I stole that from a flyer for a talk at mauger modern art that was to be about illustration and fine art and the tensions between them. I wanted the piece to be purely self indulgent... that didn't happen really which made me laugh quite a bit because the owners of the gallery wanted more mess on their walls.. hoorah!! the essence of collaborative bollocks!! make a mess and have fun.
